Canoes from neighboring islands of Yap State have relatively wider hulls than those in Yap. This canoe left was made in Satawal sailing Yap harbor.

The canoe left was departing Yap harbor for the Pacific Art Festival in Palau held July, 2004. It reached there after 7 days of no winds and came back to Yap in 3 days with the wind abaft.
